Good Times Keep Rolling as Massasoit Men's Soccer Blanks Roxbury to Stay Undefeated

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Leonardo Teixeira (Brockton) scored two first half goals to keep the undefeated men's soccer season intact, as the Warriors blanked Roxbury, 4-0 at Warrior Field.
The win ups Massasoit's record to 7-0-1 on the season, with the lone tie on the year coming vs Bunker Hill CC (1-1, 2OT). The Warriors travel south to play the Western Connecticut JV team on Sunday at 3 PM.
Massasoit jumped out early as Rushawn Plummer (Hyannis) and Teixeira scored in the seventh and 15th minutes, respectively.
Teixeira found the back of the next for the second time in the 37th minute off a pass from Henry Matheiu (Brockton) to give the Warriors a comfortable 3-0 lead at the half.
Jahiel Cole rounded out the scoring, netting his third goal in two games in the 81st minute of action.
In net, Massasoit received a standout performance by Carlos Neto. The sophomore made seven saves for the clean sheet.
