Massasoit Rallies Past CCRI, Secures 20th Win of the Season
Massasoit Community College closed out its home schedule in dramatic fashion, rallying from a second-half deficit to defeat Community College of Rhode Island 71–69 on Wednesday night to earn its 20th win of the season.
Trailing 26–23 at halftime, the Warriors turned up the defensive intensity after the break and outscored CCRI 48–43 in the second half. Massasoit made its push in the final minutes, executing down the stretch to complete the come-from-behind victory.
Eliase Feagins led all scorers with 22 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the field while adding eight rebounds and a blocked shot. Liedson Mendes delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 12 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and seven offensive boards, providing key second-chance opportunities throughout the night.
Christian Isom posted a strong double-double of his own with 14 points and 13 rebounds, going 6-for-7 from the free throw line, while Jahssa Estrela contributed 12 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, helping control the tempo in the second half.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 20 wins on the season and will close out the regular season Friday night at 6:00 PM vs. UCAP, heading into postseason play with momentum.
