Massasoit Wins Overtime Thriller
Massasoit Community College battled its way to an overtime road victory on Wednesday night, outlasting Bristol Community College 101–96 to earn its 18th win of the season in a thrilling matchup.
After 40 minutes of back-and-forth action ended in an 88–88 tie, the Warriors took control in overtime behind timely defense and clutch execution. With the game hanging in the balance, Jake Savage stepped in and took a charge with 10 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
Massasoit placed three players over the 20-point mark, led by Jahssa Estrela who finished with 24 points, seven assists, and three steals. Omari Brooks added 24 points of his own, knocking down three three-pointers and converting 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Liedson Mendes was equally effective, pouring in 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting while pulling down eight rebounds.
Eliase Feagins anchored the Warriors inside, recording a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while also going 8-for-13 from the foul line. Off the bench, Savage contributed six points, five rebounds, and two steals in key minutes, with his late-game heroics proving to be the difference.
The Warriors now improve to 18 wins on the season and continue to build momentum as postseason play approaches.
