BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's basketball team buried a season-best 11 3-pointers, six coming from Ian Wade (Brockton), as the Warriors defeated Holyoke CC, 93-65 on Sunday afternoon.
The win marked the third league victory of the week for the Warriors and have won six of their last seven to sit at 11-5 on the season.
The Warriors built up a 46-30 at the break, thanks to 12 points from post player Mike Ward (Brockton) in the opening stanza. Ward finished tied with Wade for team-high honors, each scoring 18 apiece.
Devonte Davis (Everett) netted 14 off the bench and Jovani Harper-Lopez (Randolph) and Mark Munroe (Quincy) also reached double digits, with 13 and 10 respectively. Connor Schaefer (Bourne) chipped in with eight points.
The Warriors finished 11 of 24 from downtown.
Holyoke (3-13) received 21 points from Deon Charles, featuring four 3s, and 19 points from Reilly Miller in the loss.
The Warriors play at Quinsigamond on Tuesday at 6 PM.
